Welcome

A Note to My Cherished Clients: As of 1/6/11 I am on an indefinite medical leave of absence. I successfully underwent treatment for breast cancer and am in remission. Everything is going well, although I am not sure when I am going to return to my practice. In the meantime, thank you for your support (and please feel free to call if you want to say hi)!

I offer bodywork and massage that meet the needs of a variety of people. I excel at providing therapeutic massage for injury rehabilitation, especially neck, shoulder, and hip problems. I often treat athletes, “weekend warriors,” and people who have been injured in auto accidents or through repetitive stress and ergonomic problems. I also specialize in providing gentle massage and energy work for people dealing with chronic stress, as well as those living with cancer, HIV, and chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia and arthritis. I enjoy working with elderly and hospice patients as well. I offer Swedish massage, deep tissue, myofascial release, lymphatic massage, Reiki, Healing Touch, Acutonics, and aromatherapy. I maintain a private practice in a chiropractic clinic, and I will also do off-site visits by special arrangement.*

My listening skills, training in working with people with a variety of medical conditions, and willingness to partner with other healthcare providers when appropriate, help me to support my clients regardless of their situation. I believe in empowering people to find peace and healing no matter what their life stage may be.

Please call me at (805) 215-0077 to set up an appointment at your convenience or to find out more about how I may be able to help.

* (Please note that I do not typically offer on-site chair massages in an office setting, although if your organization is having a health fair and would like to offer chair massage and/or chiropractic assessments, myself and my colleagues are often happy to participate if we have enough advanced notice. I also offer table massage in your home - for example, if you and a group of friends want to have a “spa party” with massage as an offering - and am usually able to offer a discount from my standard off-site rates if you book me for a full day. Most of the off-site work I do, though, is reserved for clients who are not able to come into my office due to health reasons - e.g., they are very ill and non-ambulatory, are of advanced age and have trouble getting around, or need help with a migraine and can’t drive.)
